Capital Accounting Analyst

TL;DR

Capital Accounting Analyst (PPE): Supports execution of critical Close and Reporting activities for Property, Plant, and Equipment accounting with an accent on capital ledger maintenance, US GAAP reporting, and statutory compliance. Focus on validating balances, coordinating audits, and driving process improvements through automation and controls.

Location: Malaysia, Penang (Hybrid: split time on-site at hirify.global site and off-site)

What you will do

• Maintain and analyze capital ledger accounts for US GAAP and Local GAAP reporting.
• Validate month-end and quarter-end capital balances for accuracy and insights.
• Coordinate internal/external audit requests and provide documentation.
• Develop and maintain capital accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Support statutory reporting, filings, and collaboration with tax/finance teams.
• Partner on automation initiatives, process improvements, and ad hoc projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Professional Degree in Accounting
• 1+ years relevant accounting experience
• Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data.
• Ability to work independently in deadline-driven environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, results-oriented mindset.

Nice to have

• Experience in public or capital accounting.
• Working knowledge of SAP/S4 systems.
• Experience with SOX compliance or internal controls.
