What you will do
- Own the accuracy and timeliness of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow for fintech activities.
- Review and sign-off month-end and year-end closes, challenging reconciliations and estimates.
- Design and maintain finance processes and controls for payment flows, customer funds, and tax.
- Provide board-ready management reporting and forecasts on KPIs, dashboards, and liquidity.
- Partner with Risk & Compliance to ensure finance processes align with governance and operational resilience.
- Act as the primary finance contact for banks, acquirers, and auditors to coordinate independent reviews.
Requirements
- Based in the Netherlands.
- 8+ years of experience in finance, controllership, or FP&A with strong exposure to payments or fintech.
- Proven entity-level accountability, including oversight of shared services or outsourced providers.
- Strong grasp of the European payments and financial services environment.
- Recognized accounting qualification (RA, CPA, ACCA, ACA) or equivalent experience.
- Ability to synthesize complex data into clear, executive-ready messages.
Nice to have
- Experience with embedded finance, acquiring, or platform-based payments across multiple currencies.
- Background in SaaS, marketplaces, or other platform businesses.
