What you will do

• Implement and maintain SAN storage and backup systems, including monitoring, troubleshooting, debugging, and optimization.
• Identify and mitigate risks from unavailable or outdated components to ensure product support.
• Participate in planning, infrastructure assessments, and integration with networking and databases.
• Ensure security and compliance standards are met across storage infrastructure.
• Support subsystem and system-level testing, data reviews, anomaly investigations, and RCCA closure.
• Resolve escalated issues, assist with datacenter deployments, conduct proactive reviews, and provide cross-functional support.

Requirements

• 7+ years of information systems experience with in-depth SAN and backup technology administration.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT-related field.
• Must have SAN experience and in-depth knowledge of Linux and Unix operating systems.
• Experience monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing storage systems.
• Programming skills including Bash, Python, and Ansible automation.
• Must be able to obtain Public Trust security clearance; US citizenship required.
• Basic networking skills (Fibre Channel) preferred.

Nice to have

• 4+ years experience in ground/satellite systems engineering.
• Knowledge of Red Hat Satellite Server, Ansible Automation Platform, GitLab.
• Cloud storage experience.
• Tape backup knowledge.
