An American commercial electric vehicle company developing a first-of-its-kind EV platform for medium-duty vehicles and hybrids.

What you will do

  • Develop and execute legislative and regulatory strategies to promote interests in vehicle electrification, manufacturing incentives, and energy policy.
  • Maintain high-level relationships with Congress, DOT, DOE, DOD, EPA, and state agencies like CARB.
  • Represent the company in trade associations and industry working groups to influence charging infrastructure and incentive programs.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Engineering teams to translate regulatory intelligence into product roadmaps and procurement bids.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of experience in government relations, public policy, or legislative affairs.
  • Background in automotive, transportation, or clean energy sectors.
  • Deep understanding of the regulatory landscape for EV startups and medium-duty vehicles.
  • Exceptional ability to translate complex technical specifications into policy narratives for officials.
  • Existing network of contacts within key regulatory bodies, particularly in California.
  • Willingness to travel for on-site meetings.
