Location: Must be based in or be able to relocate to Charleston, WV; willingness to travel to Mason County and other parts of the state frequently.

Salary: $120,000 - $160,000 USD

What you will do

• Lead engagement with the Governor's office, executive cabinet, and senior state agency leadership.
• Manage the legislative agenda, including monitoring and advocacy in the West Virginia House and Senate.
• Serve as the senior representative to Mason County leadership, the Town of Point Pleasant, and surrounding municipalities.
• Lead community engagement initiatives, including town halls, advisory groups, and direct resident outreach.
• Represent the company in trade associations and policy coalitions related to energy, data centers, and AI infrastructure.
• Develop and execute stakeholder engagement strategies and provide political risk assessments to executive leadership.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in government affairs, public policy, economic development, or political/legislative roles.
• Established relationships across the West Virginia Legislature, executive branch, and key state agencies.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Charleston, WV.
• Demonstrated track record of building trust-based relationships with diverse stakeholders, including skeptical communities.
• Strong communication skills for engaging elected officials, community members, and media.
