TL;DR

Senior Solutions (Pre-Sales) Architect (API Platforms): Architecting complex API integrations, running compelling demos, and designing proofs-of-concept for B2B SaaS customers with an accent on turning technical complexity into business value. Focus on navigating technical stakeholders, driving pre-sales evaluations, and building trusted engineer-to-engineer relationships.

Fully remote, globally distributed, prioritizing candidates based in the US-EST timezone. Optional in-person collaboration if in New York City. Hiring via Deel (EoR) except direct hires in United States or Germany. Healthcare, dental, and vision for United States team members.

Salary: $165K – $200K

What you will do

  • Demonstrate ownership and drive the pre-sales function, enabling sales to hit revenue targets through technical support.
  • Run technical evaluations smoothly with POCs that show clear value, handle objections, and excite prospects.
  • Build trusted relationships with technical stakeholders from engineers to CTOs, acting as their advocate.
  • Provide customer insights to Product and Engineering, shaping the roadmap with feature requests and competitive intelligence.
  • Establish repeatable patterns for demo environments, reference architectures, and technical collateral to accelerate deals.
  • Follow client journeys post-sales to identify additional value opportunities.

Requirements

  • Proven senior experience in Pre-Sales Architecture, Sales Engineering, or similar customer-facing technical role at B2B SaaS company (developer tools/API platforms/infrastructure preferred).
  • Track record supporting $100K+ deals with mid-market or enterprise technical buyers.
  • Strong hands-on technical background: write code, build prototypes, review architectures, debug issues; comfort with TypeScript, Node.js, Go or similar.
  • Deep experience with modern API technologies and distributed systems architecture.
  • Solid understanding of cloud-native development (Kubernetes, Docker, containers, CI/CD, microservices).
  • Exceptional communication skills for senior engineers and CTOs; organized, detail-oriented, thrive in early-stage ambiguity.

Nice to have

  • Experience with GraphQL, federated graphs, or API composition.
