TL;DR

Engineering Manager (Platforms/Tools): Leading a team to build, scale, and maintain payments infrastructure and internal tools with an accent on full-stack technical excellence and people management. Focus on driving delivery velocity, shaping engineering culture, and optimizing software delivery workflows.

Location: Must be based in the United States (currently not hiring in Hawaii)

Salary: $206,550 – $243,000

What you will do

  • Lead a team of engineers in building and scaling payments infrastructure and internal tools used by hundreds of users.
  • Ensure technical excellence across platforms using deep full-stack building experience.
  • Drive accountability and delivery velocity across multiple critical initiatives.
  • Shape the engineering culture and maintain a high performance bar.
  • Hire and develop high-performing engineers.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product and Design teams to align on goals.

Requirements

  • Must be based in the United States (excluding Hawaii).
  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • 2+ years of experience managing engineers.
  • Proven track record of delivering production software at scale in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong technical grounding in web application architecture, APIs, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience hiring and developing engineering talent.

Nice to have

  • 3+ years of experience in a hyper-growth company.
  • Experience leading and using AI-Native software delivery workflows and tools.
  • Experience building internal tools and high-availability, critical distributed systems.
  • Background in healthcare, wellness, or regulated industries.
  • Strong operational discipline involving metrics, retros, and postmortems.
