What you will do
- Oversee safe and environmentally responsible site operations and promote effective HS&E programs.
- Lead site operations to consistently meet or exceed business objectives and Annual Operating Plan targets.
- Coordinate outages and maintenance planning, and develop long-term staffing and budgetary plans.
- Implement Six Sigma/Lean tools to drive plant improvement, inventory management, and capacity utilization.
- Represent the company in local government, community, and industry groups to build positive relationships.
- Develop and lead the site leadership team, fostering professional growth and accountability.
Requirements
- Must be based in or be able to work onsite in Alexandria, VA.
- 5-10 years of progressive power plant or manufacturing experience, ideally with power generation or material handling.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing operations, project planning, and cost control.
- Proven track record of success in implementing HS&E programs and business initiatives.
- Previous management experience in specialty chemical plants or other industrial facilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence all levels of the organization.
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
- Six Sigma Black belt or Green belt certification.
