TL;DR

Internal Audit Manager (Risk Management): Driving and executing program risk management oversight for cash transfer projects in the US with an accent on fraud prevention, detection, and resolution. What you will do

  • Lead end-to-end fraud and risk management, including prevention, detection, and resolution for US-based projects.
  • Develop and maintain customized risk registers and project-specific internal audit proposals.
  • Monitor operational metrics and KPIs using dashboards to ensure program excellence and proactive issue resolution.
  • Investigate sensitive fraud cases and communicate findings to country leadership and the Internal Audit Director.
  • Recruit, manage, and mentor a team of Internal Audit Associates and coordinators.
  • Collaborate with tech and finance teams to innovate fraud prevention systems using AI and digital tools.

Requirements

  • Must be based and permitted to work within the US; no employment visa sponsorship is provided.
  • 3+ years of experience in risk management, anti-fraud, corporate audit, compliance, or project management.
  • Demonstrated track record of using AI and modern digital tools to improve risk detection and operational speed.
  • Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to interpret large datasets (SQL or R is a plus).
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in English is required.

Nice to have

  • Prior experience in cash assistance or humanitarian/emergency response.
  • Fluency in Spanish and/or Arabic.
