What you will do

  • Lead, coach, and oversee the daily performance of Acute Care Operations Assistants (ACOA) and ACOA II team members.
  • Manage dispatch, scheduling, and communication workflows to support clinicians and families reliably.
  • Maintain high-quality documentation standards across Athena, CareHub, Axle, and other systems.
  • Own the operational training, onboarding, and cross-training processes for the operations team.
  • Collaborate with acute care clinicians, triage teams, and MIH partners for seamless care coordination.
  • Ensure professional and compassionate communication with families, agencies, and referral partners.

Requirements

  • 3–4 years of experience in healthcare operations, dispatch, or care coordination.
  • At least 1 year of frontline leadership or senior acute care operations experience.
  • Expertise with EHR systems and Microsoft Suite.
  • Must be eligible for US-based employment (implied by US benefits).
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Flexibility for occasional after-hours escalations.

Nice to have

  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
  • Experience in pediatric, acute care, or MIH/dispatch environments.
  • Prior experience in a startup or rapidly evolving healthcare environment.
  • Experience with Athena, Axle, CareHub, or NotifyMD platforms.
