What you will do

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable, fault-tolerant backend services for internal and external systems.
• Collaborate with scientists and product managers to solve complex technical problems.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead code/design reviews to maintain high engineering standards.
• Build and optimize data infrastructure to support machine learning applications.
• Drive engineering hygiene practices and implement innovative development methodologies.

Requirements

• Must be based in the US
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience with a track record of shipping products.
• Proficiency in Python and experience in a production backend environment.
• Strong expertise in Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of statistical/ML methods and their real-world application.
• Experience building scalable ETL pipelines utilizing Flyte, Airflow, or similar tools.
• Background in computational biology, genomics, or bioinformatics.
• Experience working in an FDA-regulated environment.
