TL;DR
Director, DoD Military Family & Benefits (GovCon): Developing a new book of business in the DoD military family and benefits market with an accent on building teaming pipelines and establishing relationships with mid-to-large prime contractors. Focus on leveraging modern HCD and AI-enabled delivery methodologies to win software modernization contracts in a relationship-driven procurement landscape.
Location: US Remote (Preference for San Antonio, TX or Washington, DC/N. Virginia). Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Base salary: $180,000 to $230,000, plus commission and performance-based equity.

What you will do
- Own the end-to-end BD pipeline for DHA, MC&FP, Army IMCOM, and MEDCOM.
- Identify and close teaming arrangements with mid and large prime contractors for software modernization work.
- Activate JV partnerships for 8(a) task order pursuits at DHA and DMDC.
- Collaborate with delivery leadership to ensure every pursuit is grounded in executable capabilities.
- Represent the company at industry conferences such as DHITS and HIMSS Federal.
- Utilize AI tools for market research, pipeline analysis, and competitive intelligence.
Requirements
- 8+ years in business development, capture, or program management in DoD digital health or military benefits.
- Active, current relationships inside DHA J-6, DMDC, MC&FP, or Army IMCOM program offices.
- Direct experience within a mid or large prime's BD/capture function or as a government program manager.
- Demonstrated history of successful teaming arrangement execution.
- Fluency in GovCon BD mechanics, including PTW analysis and capture strategy.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (Visa sponsorship is not available).
Nice to have
- Experience in benefits, case management, or health IT in a DoD or federal health context.
- Familiarity with USDS-style delivery, agile at scale, or digital services modernization.
- Prior work with SDVOSB, 8(a), or other socioeconomic JV structures.
- Experience with task order vehicles like CIO-SP4, OASIS+, or DHA IDIQs.
- Proficiency in using AI tools for professional research and pipeline analysis.
