Product Analyst (Fintech)

TL;DR

Product Analyst (Fintech): Help Product Operations leverage AI to manage information, measure impact, and accelerate building of features, products, and solutions with an accent on designing SMART goals, metrics, and improving product lifecycle and software development practices. Focus on working with financial products like stocks, bonds, mutual funds, alternatives and serving customer segments including wealth management firms, enterprises, large banks, and institutional investors.

Location: Edinburgh, UK. Must have and maintain the right to work in the United Kingdom from the first day of employment. Visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Improve how a global organization identifies customer problems, creates, commercializes, and operates AI, data, and software solutions.
• Work with stakeholders to design initiatives and projects that you will own, including SMART goals and associated metrics.
• Enhance product lifecycle and software development practices.
• Work with financial products such as stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and alternative investments.
• Improve service to customer segments including wealth management firms, enterprises/large banks, and institutional investors.

Requirements

• Right to work in the United Kingdom from day one; no visa sponsorship.
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
• Comfortable interacting with stakeholders to decompose abstract problems into experiments.
• SQL expertise.
• Prior software or data engineering experience.
• Willingness to learn all aspects of the business, financial products, product development, and business strategy.

Nice to have

• Consulting experience.
• Proficiency with AI tools (specifically Claude) and experience using ML/AI techniques.
• Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript.
• Experience with data lake platforms like Databricks (preferred), Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, BigQuery, or Microsoft Fabric.
• Experience with Figma, Canva, Lucid, or other design mocking/prototyping tools.
• Computer science, operations research, economics, statistics, or similar engineering background.
• Experience in financial services, especially wealth management.
