Salary: $160,000 — $220,000 CAD

What you will do

• Drive architectural vision and strategy to deliver new enterprise functionality for SaaS customers' login flows and management capabilities.
• Identify and implement strategic technical improvements to the codebase and architecture.
• Orchestrate and lead major technical projects across various teams.
• Mentor and coach engineers on sound engineering practices and the development of reliable distributed systems.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to define feature functionality and analyze customer feedback.

Requirements

• Experience designing and evolving complex distributed systems with strong architectural and security knowledge.
• Proficiency in Node.js (JavaScript or TypeScript) for building scalable backend services and maintaining APIs.
• Full-stack experience building SPAs with React and CSS.
• Deep understanding of SQL databases, including query optimization for performance under load.
• Experience with Docker and cloud environments (AWS and Azure preferred).
• Proven track record of operating large-scale services using observability tools.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of authentication protocols such as OAuth2, OIDC, and SAML.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and Apache Kafka.
• Familiarity with DevOps culture and tools like Terraform.
• Experience in security engineering and application security.
