Software Engineer (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain features end-to-end using TypeScript across React frontends and backend services.
• Implement scalable APIs to query, aggregate, and serve data reliably.
• Build and operate cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Serve as an on-call first responder for triage, debugging, and resolving production issues.
• Create automated test plans (unit, integration, end-to-end) to enable safe and frequent releases.
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct high-signal peer code reviews of designs and documentation.

Requirements

• ~3+ years of professional software engineering experience shipping production systems.
• Proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript and a modern frontend framework (React preferred).
• Experience designing and building backend services and REST or GraphQL APIs.
• Solid grounding in computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, including schema design and query work.
• Must have legal authorization to work in Canada without requiring employer sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CDK).
• Experience operating production services, including observability and incident response.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern delivery practices.
• Exposure to event-driven, distributed, or large-scale data systems.
• Interest or experience in the cybersecurity domain.
