TL;DR

Sales Director (GovTech): Driving growth and securing new enterprise opportunities within the Canadian Federal Government with an accent on event-driven architecture (EDA) and AI-driven initiatives. Focus on navigating complex public-sector procurement processes, leveraging executive relationships, and positioning real-time data movement as a foundational AI requirement.

Location: Hybrid (Ottawa, Ontario). Must be able to work in Canada without sponsorship

What you will do

  • Establish and expand relationships with key stakeholders within the Canadian Federal Government.
  • Lead the end-to-end sales process from initial engagement through negotiation and closing for new and existing clients.
  • Develop territory and account plans to ensure revenue attainment and long-term strategic growth.
  • Navigate multi-stakeholder buying groups and formal procurement processes in complex public-sector environments.
  • Collaborate with pre-sales engineers and partners to position the platform as the backbone for AI-ready infrastructure.
  • Negotiate complex agreements and build durable relationships at the executive level.

Requirements

  • Proven success closing complex, high-value technology deals within the Canadian Federal Government.
  • Established relationships across Canadian federal departments, agencies, and procurement stakeholders.
  • 5+ years of experience managing enterprise IT client relationships in regulated or public-sector environments.
  • Track record of selling middleware products, platforms, and professional services.
  • Familiarity with MEDDIC / MEDDPICC sales methodologies.
  • Ability to work in Canada without requiring sponsorship and willingness to travel up to 30%.
