What you will do

• Develop and implement youth programming, including after-school and cultural enrichment activities.
• Coordinate services for refugee children and parents in partnership with local school systems to ensure educational success.
• Orient newly arrived families to the American public-school system and family law issues.
• Advocate for children in situations of abuse, neglect, or those requiring special education services.
• Monitor student progress and ensure all intake and compliance documentation is accurately maintained.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to provide strength-based services to clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, education, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the human services field (strongly preferred).
• Must be based in Phoenix, AZ USA.
• Valid driver’s license, active insurance, and access to reliable transportation required.
• Must possess or be eligible to receive a fingerprint clearance card per Arizona State Law.
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written.

• Bilingual ability in a language spoken by the local refugee population.
