What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications across all phases of the SDLC for aircraft imagery capture.
• Build application-level integrations with digital cameras, airborne systems, and navigation hardware.
• Lead the development of technical designs and specifications for mission-critical software.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across the full system stack, including operating systems, networking, and physical hardware.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, and operations teams to ensure delivery and system reliability.
• Review team code to ensure adherence to best practices and maintainability.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience (8 years preferred).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven ability to build scalable and maintainable application and service-layer code.
• Experience diagnosing failures across system boundaries (software services, hardware devices, and networks).
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid from Rochester, NY.
• Solid understanding of the Agile Development Process.

Nice to have

• Strong expertise in modern, cross-platform C# and/or C++.
• Experience with CI/CD and cloud-based deployment.
• Familiarity with field diagnostics, telemetry analysis, or non-datacenter deployments.
• Understanding of cameras and imaging principles.
