What you will do

  • Manage and develop an Assistant Buyer while taking ownership of the branded home accessories category.
  • Build and maintain strong brand relationships and lead face-to-face negotiations and QBRs.
  • Drive category strategy and hitting key trading milestones in collaboration with the Buying Manager.
  • Make end-to-end ranging decisions backed by clear data interpretation.
  • Identify and onboard exciting new brands while monitoring market trends and competitor activity.
  • Deputise for the Buying Manager in key leadership forums and meetings.

Requirements

  • Significant previous experience as a high-level Assistant Buyer or Category Assistant.
  • Must be based in or able to work in Liverpool, UK under a hybrid model.
  • Experience within the home category and working with brands (preferred).
  • Strong negotiation, influencing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills.
