Location: Wallingford, UK. Minimum 4 days per week onsite. No sponsorship or relocation provided.

What you will do

• Build and execute sourcing strategies for direct materials and outsourced assemblies.
• Identify, onboard, and manage contract manufacturers capable of scaling with demand.
• Lead RFQs/RFPs focusing on technical specifications, BOMs, and manufacturability.
• Negotiate contracts balancing cost, capacity, risk, and long-term value.
• Partner with engineering on New Product Introduction (NPI) to ensure supply readiness.
• Analyze make-vs-buy decisions and continuously improve supplier performance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in sourcing or procurement within a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with contract manufacturing or outsourced production.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, BOMs, and specifications.
• Strong understanding of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and make-vs-buy analysis.
• Confident negotiation skills for structuring complex commercial deals.
• Must be based in the UK; the company is unable to provide sponsorship or relocation.
