What you will do

• Develop and enhance simulation tools and processes for predicting vehicle energy usage, performance, and efficiency.
• Improve energy and performance tool capability, simulation fidelity, correlation, and data analysis techniques.
• Identify opportunities to advance co-simulation, machine learning, user experience, variation analysis, modular systems, and fidelity levels.
• Train users of energy tools and provide technical support.
• Collaborate with teams working in thermal analysis, vehicle dynamics, vehicle controls, and electrification analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience; 7+ years is preferred.
• Experience with vehicle simulation tools and software, or the ability to rapidly develop this capability.
• Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, Simscape, GT-Suite, AMESim, GMSim, CarSim, AVL, or vehicle controls and calibration.
• Knowledge of vehicle, powertrain, and controls integration, along with mechanical, electrical, and thermal engineering principles.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without GM immigration sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree specializing in vehicle energy systems.
• Experience with big data, machine learning, or artificial intelligence.
• Experience with the GM vehicle and powertrain development process.
• DFSS Black Belt certification.
• Interest in vehicle efficiency, fuel economy, EV range, and performance.
