What you will do

• Design high-fidelity detections and correlation logic in Splunk Enterprise Security and AWS OpenSearch.
• Build AI-powered detection tooling using ML and NLP techniques to ingest threat intelligence.
• Develop production-grade automation workflows and internal tools using Python, Java, and Bash.
• Engineer ETL pipelines for log ingestion, normalization, and routing across AWS and multi-cloud environments.
• Translate red team findings and pentest results into durable detection and control enhancements.
• Mentor engineers and analysts on detection methodology and secure software architecture.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
• 6+ years of experience in software and/or security engineering.
• 2+ years of experience building detections on enterprise SIEMs such as Splunk or OpenSearch.
• 2+ years of experience developing security automation or AI/ML-based security applications in Python or Java.
• Strong command of AWS (SageMaker, OpenSearch, Lambda, IAM) and EDR platforms.
• Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, NIST CSF, and experience supporting compliance audits (SOC 2, HIPAA, etc.).
• Must be able to work in a hybrid setup in Mountain View, CA.

Nice to have

• Relevant certifications: Splunk Certified Architect/Developer, CISSP, CEH, or GIAC GCED.
• Experience applying ML to anomaly detection, behavioral analytics, or security NLP.
• Professional background in healthcare or other highly regulated industries.
• Enterprise vulnerability management experience, including authenticated scanning and CVSS prioritization.
