What you will do

• Own backend architecture for cloud software supporting Neptune, Triton, and Voyager services and APIs.
• Design and operate scalable Python backends using Django/DRF and Celery pipelines.
• Lead complex data-heavy workflows including project/scan lifecycles and recipe automation.
• Architect AWS infrastructure (S3, RDS, IAM) and design SageMaker ML job flows.
• Coach and mentor engineering team members across the organization in architecture best practices.
• Collaborate with product managers and leadership to align technical objectives with business deliverables.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience developing software, primarily focused on the backend.
• Expert Python proficiency with 5+ years of shipping production backends using Django/DRF.
• Deep expertise in PostgreSQL and AWS data/storage (S3, RDS/Aurora, IAM, VPC).
• Experience with async systems using Celery and Redis.
• 2+ years of experience working in a startup environment.
• Legally authorized to work in the US without current or future sponsorship

• Experience with high-traffic, data-intensive web applications.
