What you will do

• Lead technical evaluations of SaaS vendors and conduct proof-of-concept implementations against business requirements.
• Design and develop custom SaaS features and integrations between internal systems and third-party platforms.
• Build abstractions and middleware to prevent vendor lock-in and ensure system scalability.
• Define architecture principles and evaluation frameworks for SaaS adoption and optimization.
• Manage technical relationships, negotiate SLAs, and handle technical escalations with SaaS vendors.
• Mentor engineers on integration patterns and drive technical excellence through code reviews and pairing.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with expert proficiency in Python, Go, Java, or Node.js.
• Strong full-stack capabilities and production experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Deep expertise in API design (REST, GraphQL, webhooks) and authentication protocols (OAuth 2.0, SAML, OIDC).
• Extensive experience integrating enterprise SaaS platforms such as Salesforce, Workday, or ServiceNow.
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi).
• Must be based in the United States.

• Experience in hypergrowth startups or as a technical founder/early engineer.
• Knowledge of FinOps and cloud cost optimization.
• Open source contributions or technical speaking experience.
• Familiarity with contract negotiation and procurement processes.
