What you will do

• Manage department operational objectives focusing on safety, product quality, reliability, and cost.
• Drive continuous improvement by using kaizen to eliminate the seven forms of waste.
• Implement a pull system based on takt time and one-piece-flow to meet customer demand.
• Ensure zero-defect performance and maintain compliance with ISO 9000 certifications.
• Spend 80% of time on the shop floor coaching employees and optimizing real-time operations.
• Oversee staffing levels, employee selection, and technical training to increase business contribution.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of successful supervisory experience in an operations environment.
• Proven success in a leadership role directing the work of others with measurable results.
• Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing principles and ISO quality systems fundamentals.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective conflict resolution in a team.
• Ability to use standard office automation and communication software.
• Must be able to work onsite in Zeeland, MI.
