What you will do

• Manage the 2nd shift production team to ensure maximum efficiency and meet manufacturing schedules and delivery commitments.
• Identify and implement lean improvement activities to increase profitability, productivity, and capacity while reducing internal costs.
• Provide technical assistance, training, and mentorship to subordinates while maintaining a safe 5S working environment.
• Oversee accurate production records, including employee time reports and attendance equalization.
• Investigate production variances from standards and initiate appropriate changes to minimize costs.
• Perform machine setups and first-piece inspections as required to maintain production flow.

Requirements

• Associate Degree (AS) in a related discipline or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of direct experience in a production environment (or 8-12 years in machine shop, special process, or A&T).
• Proven leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to exercise good judgment and organize workflows.
• Ability to define and prioritize specific goals, such as scrap reduction and lead time maintenance.
• Required: Ability to access U.S. export-controlled information.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in machining.
• Ability to use CMM and hand gages.
