Salary: $133,500 – $190,050

What you will do

• Develop and improve design criteria and requirements for reactor cores, structures, fluid systems, electronics, and shielding.
• Perform critical peer reviews of hardware designs and confirm acceptance/qualification test campaigns.
• Guide engineering teams through the design process to ensure criteria are followed during manufacturing and testing.
• Shepherd optimized designs through the review process and part release.
• Collaborate with responsible engineers to ensure design criteria are integrated into hardware development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, systems, or related engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in engineering design, analysis, or systems engineering.
• Experience working within manufacturing or production environments.
• Must work 100% onsite in El Segundo, CA.
• Unable to provide visa sponsorship; must be compliant with U.S. export controls.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in an engineering discipline.
• Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, Jama, Flow).
• Strong understanding of system design processes, including interface control and tradeoffs.
• 5+ years of professional experience in a design, analysis, test, or manufacturing role.
