Location: On-site in San Francisco (5 days/week)

Salary: $225,000 – $300,000

What you will do

• Lead all aspects of mechanical engineering across the full development cycle, from initial concept to production.
• Manage and coach a team of mechanical, soft goods, and prototype & test engineers.
• Provide technical leadership on architectural decisions involving thermals, fluids, mechanisms, and sensing.
• Shape and execute the hardware product roadmap in collaboration with the CPO and executive team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineering, software, operations, and finance.
• Travel to Asia to manage suppliers and ensure delivery goals are met.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience developing complex electromechanical systems (consumer electronics, automotive, or medical devices).
• 2+ years of direct experience managing mechanical and product design engineers.
• Deep expertise in injection molding, electronics/sensor integration, mechanism design, DFM/DFA, and GD&T.
• BSME or an equivalent degree.
• Must be based in San Francisco and able to work in the office 5 days per week.
• Ability and willingness to travel to China as needed.
