Salary: Target total compensation $170,000 - $228,000 (Fixed annual salary $153,000 - $188,000)

What you will do
- Manage end-to-end US state and local sales and use tax obligations, including nexus analysis, registration, and filing coordination.
- Administer and optimize the tax engine (Avalara), focusing on product taxability configurations and system maintenance.
- Partner with Finance, Engineering, and Product teams to ensure seamless integration of tax calculations with billing and ERP systems.
- Coordinate with external service providers for international VAT, GST, and Digital Services Tax (DST) compliance.
- Monitor global indirect tax legislation and advise leadership on risk and compliance requirements.
- Leverage AI and automation tools to develop indirect tax policies and streamline operational processes.
Requirements
- 8+ years of indirect tax experience in a Big 4 public accounting firm or in-house corporate tax function.
- Deep knowledge of US state and local sales and use tax law and taxability for digital/SaaS products.
- Hands-on experience managing and configuring indirect tax engines.
- Strong proficiency in ERP systems, with NetSuite preferred.
- Experience managing indirect tax audits and supporting M&A due diligence.
