What you will do

• Maintain and enhance performance of existing database programs.
• Assist development teams in designing new database programs.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks through query tuning, indexing and resource allocation.
• Update, patch and upgrade database software ensuring high availability.
• Implement access controls, encryption and compliance with HIPAA/GDPR.
• Establish data backups and disaster recovery protocols.
• Design Database as a Service solutions and automate database tasks.
• Provide on-call support for databases.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of related experience.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB, Postgres and MySQL.
• Skills in database cloning, patching, migration, performance tuning and cost optimization.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Ability to work on diverse problems requiring data analysis and good judgment.
