Resist and Stochastics Researcher (Semiconductor)

What you will do

• Develop and calibrate compact computational models for resist and lithography process behavior using rigorous 3D stochastic resist models.
• Design and coordinate experiments with partners, suppliers, and customers to generate model-calibration data.
• Analyze wafer and experimental data to identify critical dependencies and scaling laws.
• Connect fundamental physics and chemistry with measurements from CD-SEM, AFM, and XS-TEM techniques.
• Collaborate with lithography, resist, wafer-processing, and metrology specialists to translate modeling insights into customer-relevant solutions.
• Generate concepts for current and future metrology and patterning products.

Requirements

• PhD in physics, chemistry, materials science, applied mathematics, or a related STEM field.
• Strong mathematical skills, physical intuition, and the ability to simplify complex physical or chemical phenomena into accurate model representations.
• Research experience in computational model development, calibration, and data analysis.
• Advanced data-analysis experience and required programming proficiency in Python.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of research questions, collaborate across disciplines, and communicate clearly in English.
• Legal authorization to access controlled technology under United States Export Administration Regulations is required before starting work.

Nice to have

• Materials science background.
• Experience in lithography or semiconductor manufacturing.
• Cleanroom fabrication or semiconductor device manufacturing experience.
• Version-control experience such as GitHub.
• Evidence of innovation through research advances or patents.
