Senior Quantum Measurement and Calibration Engineer (Quantum Computing)

What you will do

• Create and refine measurement protocols that improve quantum gate and readout fidelities.
• Develop diagnostic tools for noise and TLS spectroscopy, gate error budgeting, and performance bottleneck identification.
• Design and execute experiments to benchmark coupling schemes, filtering, crosstalk mitigations, and other processor design elements.
• Analyze measurement datasets and communicate findings to QPU Design, Measurement, and Software Engineering teams.
• Own measurement campaigns from hypothesis development and experiment design through cooldown, data acquisition, analysis, and reporting.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with cryogenic measurement of multi-qubit superconducting quantum processors.
• Extensive experience diagnosing performance-limiting mechanisms in superconducting quantum processors.
• Deep understanding of cQED, superconducting quantum device behavior, and signal integrity challenges.
• Proficiency in Python and data analysis for quantum experiments.
• Proactive, detail-oriented approach, strong ownership, and ability to collaborate across engineering teams.
