Sr. Operations Engineer (Starlink Growth)

Location: Bastrop, TX. Must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (ITAR requirements).

What you will do

• Lead initiatives to improve customer experience, retention, and lifetime value through technical analysis.
• Identify and solve systemic engineering, product, and operational defects at scale.
• Analyze end-user metrics to uncover root causes of churn and growth opportunities.
• Build and maintain predictive models and analytical frameworks to surface retention risks.
• Execute complex experiments, including large-scale A/B tests and automation, to move key business metrics.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, Finance, and Legal leadership to define KPIs and align priorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or Physics).
• 5+ years of experience in operations, growth, analytics, product management, or consulting.
• 3+ years of experience in Python or SQL.
• Must comply with U.S. Government export regulations (ITAR): U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
• Availability to work extended hours, weekends, and travel to customer sites as required.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree or dual background in engineering and business/economics.
• Experience building scalable analytical tools and models.
• Proficiency in R, PowerBI, Looker, or Tableau.
• Track record of influencing executive decision-making and mentoring analysts.
