What you will do

• Drive the definition, evolution, and deployment of safety-critical systems for autonomous vehicle architecture in airport environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on a cohesive architecture and integration strategy.
• Architect solutions for scalability and usability, ensuring robust performance in time- and safety-critical operations.
• Oversee end-to-end system integration, identifying and resolving complex architectural issues.
• Lead design reviews and perform comprehensive design trade-off analyses.
• Mentor engineers in system-level thinking and interface design.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mechatronics, Aerospace, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience designing and deploying complex, integrated systems with safety-critical components.
• Strong knowledge of embedded systems and integration.
• Experience with system documentation, including requirements and Interface Control Documents (ICDs).
• Proximity to Atlanta and ability to travel up to 25%.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Nice to have

• MS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
• Experience with autonomous vehicles, robotics, or ADAS.
• Proficiency with tools such as DOORS, Jama, Polarion, or Enterprise Architect.
• Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and networking protocols.
• Familiarity with safety standards like ISO 26262, ISO 21448, UL 4600, or IEC 61508.
• Experience with cybersecurity for automated vehicles.
