What you will do

• Grow and manage the Data Platform team, fostering high impact and technical excellence.
• Collaborate with Applied Research and Engineering on technical roadmap for model and product goals.
• Hands-on develop and support high-throughput, low-latency data pipelines at extreme scale.
• Build APIs and interfaces for internal teams to query data at scale.
• Integrate open-source big data tools and enhance system performance, scalability, and reliability.

Requirements

• Previous people management and technical leadership in large-scale technical environments.
• Strong programming in Python and systems languages like Go, C, C++, Rust, or Scala.
• Experience with extreme-scale (100s TB to multi-PB) distributed systems, data pipelines, processing, and query engines.
• Hands-on shipping and maintaining Kubernetes-based critical infrastructure.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Apache Spark.
• Experience with container runtimes and Linux system programming.
