What you will do

• Design control panels and machine harnesses according to NFPA 79, UL 508A, and IEC 60204-1 standards.
• Specify and integrate VFDs, servo drives, and safety-rated controllers/interlocks.
• Design 480V/208V/120V AC and 24V DC distribution systems, including UPS and transformer sizing.
• Perform arc-flash analysis and ensure NFPA 70E labeling for every cell.
• Commission and debug panels and harnesses directly on the factory floor.
• Develop and codify reusable electrical standards and libraries for the automation team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent hands-on credentials.
• 3+ years of experience designing and commissioning industrial control panels for automated machinery.
• Proficiency in EPLAN Electric P8 or AutoCAD Electrical.
• Experience with Rockwell, Siemens, Beckhoff, or Yaskawa VFD and servo drives.
• Working knowledge of safety standards including NFPA 79, UL 508A, and ISO 13849.
• U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or ITAR eligibility is strictly required.

Nice to have

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or currently on the PE track.
• Experience conducting arc-flash studies using SKM or EasyPower.
• Knowledge of industrial networks at the physical layer (EtherCAT, Profinet, IO-Link).
• Experience with high-energy systems (battery, welding, or induction).
• Background in supporting greenfield factory power distribution build-outs.
