What you will do
- Define and maintain overall software architecture, including system decomposition, component interaction, and integration patterns.
- Establish and enforce architectural standards, design patterns, and coding guidelines across engineering teams.
- Lead architectural reviews and serve as the primary technical authority for software systems across product lines.
- Collaborate with Product Management and stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable architectural solutions.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI/ML and cloud-native architectures, for applicability to future products.
- Mentor senior software engineers and development leads on architectural best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a software architecture or principal role.
- Mastery of distributed systems design, microservices, event-driven architecture, API design, and data modeling.
- Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP), containerization, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Must be based in or able to work from Peachtree Corners, GA, United States.
- Excellent communication skills for articulating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Nice to have
- Master's degree or higher in a technical field.
- Experience integrating AI/ML models into production, including LLMs, RAG, and AI agent frameworks.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements (HIPAA, FDA, CMS) and interoperability standards (HL7 FHIR).
- Experience with edge computing and IoT architectures.
- Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
