TL;DR

Market Segment Manager (Drug Discovery): Driving commercial growth across small molecules, peptide synthesis, and purification markets with an accent on strategic B2B marketing and demand generation. Focus on developing unique selling propositions, optimizing multi-channel campaigns, and leading application roadmaps to accelerate revenue.

Location: Hybrid (minimum 3 days a week in office) in Charlotte, NC

What you will do

  • Lead regional marketing strategy and define KPIs to drive commercial growth for the small molecules and peptides portfolio.
  • Conduct market research and Voice of Customer (VoC) initiatives to identify trends and develop compelling unique selling propositions (USPs).
  • Design and optimize metrics-based multi-channel marketing campaigns for customer acquisition and pipeline growth.
  • Equip the sales team with enablement tools, competitive battlecards, and go-to-market strategies for new product launches.
  • Manage and mentor a high-performing application team, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
  • Prioritize the application roadmap by integrating customer insights, market trends, and commercial priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field (MS or Ph.D. strongly preferred).
  • 5+ years of B2B marketing experience in life sciences, drug discovery, or analytical instrumentation.
  • Deep expertise in small molecule drug discovery, peptide synthesis, and purification workflows.
  • Proven ability to translate complex scientific concepts into commercial messaging and value propositions.
  • Experience mentoring, coaching, and developing teams, including resource allocation.
  • Must be based in or able to work hybridly in Charlotte, NC.
