TL;DR

What you will do

  • Develop authentication and authorization platforms, specifically for AI-powered agentic workflows and non-human actors.
  • Evolve identity layers in Auth0 to enhance authentication, token issuance, and identity federation.
  • Maintain and mature the Relationship-Based Access Control (ReBAC) OpenFGA model.
  • Lead large-scale technical projects across multiple teams and systems.
  • Mentor engineers and champion technical best practices and quality standards.
  • Take ownership of team deliverables from ideation through production.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of professional software experience.
  • Significant depth in identity, authentication, or authorization systems.
  • Deep understanding of OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect.
  • Hands-on experience with ReBAC systems such as OpenFGA, Zanzibar, or SpiceDB.
  • Strong proficiency in backend languages (Java, Ruby, or Python) and frameworks (Spring Boot, Rails, or Django).
  • Must be based in the United States or Canada.

Nice to have

  • Fluency with AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, etc.) as a core part of the development workflow.
