What you will do
- Develop and maintain technical specifications for autonomous machine electronic systems, including ECMs, software, and networked components.
- Resolve system design and integration issues by collaborating with machine system and subsystem teams.
- Support software release planning, including documentation for field updates, wiring changes, and component updates.
- Coordinate software development and integration activities to ensure technical requirements and schedules are met.
- Develop and execute test plans through lab and machine-level validation activities.
- Provide technical guidance to less-experienced engineers on complex system integration problems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Must be based in or be able to relocate to the USA (Tucson, AZ; Mossville, IL; or Irving, TX).
- Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts, technologies, and methodologies.
- Ability to convert market requirements into software product design and architecture.
- Strong skills in communicating complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Effective self-management and ability to handle multiple concurrent projects.
Nice to have
- 5–10 years of experience in embedded control systems development.
- Hands-on experience with CAN, J1939, and Ethernet development and analysis tools.
- Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink modeling in embedded environments.
- Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) simulation and validation processes.
- Familiarity with software configuration management tools such as Git or ClearCase.
- Knowledge of FMEA processes and electronic system failure modes.
