What you will do

• Develop and maintain technical specifications for autonomous machine electronic systems, including ECMs, software, and networked components.
• Resolve system design and integration issues by collaborating with machine system and subsystem teams.
• Support software release planning, including documentation for field updates, wiring changes, and component updates.
• Coordinate software development and integration activities to ensure technical requirements and schedules are met.
• Develop and execute test plans through lab and machine-level validation activities.
• Provide technical guidance to less-experienced engineers on complex system integration problems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Must be based in or be able to relocate to the USA (Tucson, AZ; Mossville, IL; or Irving, TX).
• Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts, technologies, and methodologies.
• Ability to convert market requirements into software product design and architecture.
• Strong skills in communicating complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Effective self-management and ability to handle multiple concurrent projects.

Nice to have

• 5–10 years of experience in embedded control systems development.
• Hands-on experience with CAN, J1939, and Ethernet development and analysis tools.
• Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink modeling in embedded environments.
• Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) simulation and validation processes.
• Familiarity with software configuration management tools such as Git or ClearCase.
• Knowledge of FMEA processes and electronic system failure modes.
