Security Engineer II (Cybersecurity)

Salary: $100,600 – $199,000 per year

What you will do

• Identify security issues within assigned areas and propose mitigation steps.
• Investigate, diagnose, and triage security incidents using defined response processes.
• Participate in architecture and design security reviews and collaborate on remediation plans.
• Apply secure design and development best practices to reduce vulnerabilities and improve resilience.
• Collaborate with industry partners to contribute security improvements to the Chromium project.
• Partner across teams to implement solutions for security problems and improve existing tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in CS, Mathematics, Computer Security, or related field with 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity, vulnerability research, or software development.
• OR Master’s Degree in a related field with 1+ year of experience.
• Ability to pass hirify.global Cloud Background Check.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and experience in the software development lifecycle.

Nice to have

• Doctorate in Computer Security, CS, or a related field.
• Experience with relevant CVEs, specifically in browser vulnerability discovery.
• Experience writing exploits for native or web applications.
• Experience in the development and deployment of fuzz testing and/or static analysis software.
