What you will do

  • Lead the instructional design and development of 10 online environmental health training modules for Community Health Representatives.
  • Develop a consistent instructional approach incorporating video, audio, reading, and self-assessment components.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project plans, including timelines and resource needs for each module.
  • Collaborate with Indigenous and non-Indigenous subject matter experts to scope content on food, water, and air quality.
  • Evaluate and revise the curriculum based on learning outcomes and stakeholder feedback.
  • Coordinate with support units such as the hirify.global Centre for Teaching, Learning, and Technology to ensure product quality.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience in education or curriculum development.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical issues to non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) and respect for diverse perspectives.
  • Deep understanding of Indigenous history in Canada and the principles of Truth and Reconciliation.

Nice to have

  • Post-graduate degree in Education or a related field.
  • Previous work experience in environmental health, environmental science, or public health.
  • Proficiency with audio/video software and generative AI tools for course design.
  • Proven project management skills for coordinating multiple concurrent projects.
