Project Manager (Software Development)

Salary: $165,000 (midpoint)

What you will do

• Act as the primary authoritative manager and single point of contact for customer leadership and system product owners.
• Oversee a team of approximately 15 employees through all aspects of the project lifecycle.
• Analyze complex project-related problems to create innovative solutions involving scheduling, technology, and financial management.
• Provide application systems analysis and develop long and short-range plans for systems development and maintenance.
• Manage project planning, reporting, and risk mitigation to ensure alignment with project goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
• Must be eligible and willing to obtain a government Public Trust.
• 6+ years of experience as a Project Manager or 10 years of IT professional experience (including 6+ years as a Team Lead/PM).
• Active PMP certification and certification in Agile development methodology (e.g., Scrum, SAFe).
• Experience managing legacy modernization and migration projects for the federal government.
• Technical proficiency in managing projects involving .NET, Microsoft PowerBI, SharePoint, Java, and Azure cloud-based applications with CI/CD and Agile DevOps.

Nice to have

• Experience working with the Dept. of HHS or NIH.
• Experience with HHS ESDLC.
