What you will do
- Act as the primary authoritative manager and single point of contact for customer leadership and system product owners.
- Oversee a team of approximately 15 employees through all aspects of the project lifecycle.
- Analyze complex project-related problems to create innovative solutions involving scheduling, technology, and financial management.
- Provide application systems analysis and develop long and short-range plans for systems development and maintenance.
- Manage project planning, reporting, and risk mitigation to ensure alignment with project goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
- Must be eligible and willing to obtain a government Public Trust.
- 6+ years of experience as a Project Manager or 10 years of IT professional experience (including 6+ years as a Team Lead/PM).
- Active PMP certification and certification in Agile development methodology (e.g., Scrum, SAFe).
- Experience managing legacy modernization and migration projects for the federal government.
- Technical proficiency in managing projects involving .NET, Microsoft PowerBI, SharePoint, Java, and Azure cloud-based applications with CI/CD and Agile DevOps.
Nice to have
- Experience working with the Dept. of HHS or NIH.
- Experience with HHS ESDLC.
