Principal DevOps Engineer (DevOps): Leading the design, evolution, and scaling of CI/CD platforms and engineering productivity initiatives with an accent on architectural decisions, standardization, and modern DevOps practices. Salary: $163,850 – $185,000

What you will do

• Define and drive the DevOps platform strategy for CI/CD, build systems, and release engineering.
• Architect scalable and resilient pipelines using tools like TeamCity, Jenkins, or similar.
• Implement infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, Kubernetes, and Ansible across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Integrate security practices (SAST, secrets management, dependency scanning) into delivery pipelines.
• Optimize developer experience by reducing build times and introducing self-service capabilities.
• Act as a technical leader and mentor for DevOps and engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in DevOps, Build Engineering, or Platform Engineering.
• Deep expertise in CI/CD tools (TeamCity, Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and build systems (Gradle, Maven, Ant).
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in scripting/programming: Python, Bash, PowerShell, or Java.
• Must be based in or local to Raleigh, NC or Burlington, MA.

Nice to have

• Experience with secrets management (Akeyless, Vault) and artifact repositories (Artifactory, Nexus).
• Knowledge of security tools like Veracode, Polaris, BlackDuck, or SonarQube.
• Experience in large-scale enterprise environments and multi-product CI/CD ecosystems.
• Experience applying prompt engineering to effectively leverage AI across the SDLC.
