What you will do

• Lead a US-based team of engineers, providing technical direction, coaching, and structured feedback.
• Own KPI-critical subsystem designs from conception and CAD execution through prototyping and verification.
• Optimize designs for cost efficiency and manufacturing quality using quantitative test and DOE methods.
• Build and test prototypes to validate assumptions and de-risk complex product concepts.
• Serve as the technical voice of the Coffee & Beverage category in executive-level reviews and portfolio planning.
• Coordinate with global teams in the UK and China to support design-for-manufacture and production scale-up.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or Industrial Design Engineering.
• 6+ years of experience in Mechanical/Product Design, including at least one full concept-to-production cycle.
• 2+ years of people management experience coaching and developing engineering teams.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or Creo with experience leading CAD reviews.
• Experience with plastic manufacturing processes in high-volume consumer goods environments.
• Ability to work in a CAD/lab environment in the US.

Nice to have

• Experience in consumer household appliances, specifically coffee, espresso, or hot-beverage products.
• Familiarity with pumps, thermoblocks, solenoid valves, flow meters, and pressure regulation.
• Knowledge of electrical engineering, software, and UX design.
