Senior Actuary, Accident & Health Pricing

Location: Warren, New Jersey, or New York, New York, United States

Salary: $152,000–$200,000 annually

What you will do

• Partner with Underwriting, Product Development, Sales, IT, and Finance to expand and manage Accident & Health products and pricing capabilities.
• Lead quarterly portfolio monitoring and experience analyses to evaluate profitability, trends, and emerging risks.
• Support annual planning, including the development and selection of expected loss ratio assumptions.
• Provide actuarial leadership for pricing new and renewal business in alignment with underwriting strategy and risk appetite.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain actuarial pricing models, tools, databases, and reporting processes.
• Manage, mentor, and develop two direct reports while supporting product initiatives, strategic growth, and regulatory matters.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of actuarial experience, including pricing experience in Accident & Health.
• ASA or FSA designation required.
• Knowledge of Accident & Health product lines such as Business Travel Accident, Participant Accident, Gap Medical, and Fixed Indemnity.
• Experience managing and developing actuarial staff.
• Strong technical foundation in actuarial pricing, experience analysis, and portfolio management.
• Experience working with underwriting teams in a commercial insurance environment and communicating complex results to business partners and leadership.
