Actuary, Group Benefit Pricing & Transformation

Location: Hybrid role with 3 days in office at Hudson Yards, New York City, or the Bethlehem, Pennsylvania office, and 2 days working from home. In-person collaboration is essential, and travel may be required as determined by the People Leader.

Salary: $152,290–$250,195 base pay annually, with potential eligibility for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Lead actuarial pricing capabilities and transformation across the Group Benefits portfolio, including dental, vision, absence and disability, life, and supplemental health products.
• Conduct experience monitoring, actual-to-expected reviews, assumption assessments, and profitability driver analyses.
• Modernize pricing tools and processes through predictive analytics, automation, and AI-enabled decision support.
• Translate complex actuarial, financial, and technical analyses into actionable recommendations for senior leaders and business stakeholders.
• Lead and develop actuarial professionals and students by setting priorities, managing performance, and building technical capabilities.

Requirements

• Significant experience in Group Benefits pricing or a related insurance discipline.
• Strong knowledge of manual rating, experience rating, risk segmentation, rate adequacy, and profitability analysis.
• At least 5 years of experience in the insurance industry.
• FSA designation from the Society of Actuaries.
• Experience leading actuarial teams, developing talent, setting priorities, and managing performance.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.

• Experience applying predictive analytics, machine learning, or pricing modernization solutions.
• Experience partnering with data scientists, technology teams, senior leaders, and business stakeholders.
