Project Execution Analyst (Defense): Supporting the Industrial Base Analysis and Sustainment (IBAS) program to ensure DoD effectiveness in addressing industrial base issues with an accent on researching global defense strengths and weaknesses. Focus on analyzing project proposals, managing schedules, and drafting high-quality analytical products for senior leadership.

Location: Hybrid (Arlington, VA; Alexandria, VA; Pentagon). Candidates must live in the National Capital Region

What you will do

• Analyze project proposals and provide data-driven recommendations for implementation.
• Evaluate project feasibility, assess technical capabilities, and identify potential funding sources.
• Manage project schedules and provide detailed oversight of progress to mission partners.
• Represent government interests in virtual and in-person meetings as a key communication hub.
• Draft high-quality briefings, official correspondence, and analytical products for senior leadership.

Requirements

• Active SECRET security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET clearance
• Bachelor's degree in any field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing, RDT&E, and defense industrial base workforce analysis.
• DoD project management experience.
• Experience with military hardware/software development or sustainment within U.S. Military Services or OSD-level staff.
• Expertise navigating the DoD acquisition lifecycle and the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process

Nice to have

• Experience operating within the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) or similar strategic environments.
• Experience briefing and providing counsel to Flag and General Officers.
• Application of systems engineering concepts to technical and programmatic challenges.
• Professional certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP).
• Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher).
