What you will do

• Sort, prioritize, and organize incoming consultation requests.
• Create and maintain patient charts within the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Enter and verify demographic and insurance information for accurate patient registration.
• Scan and organize medical documents into patient charts.
• Schedule new patient appointments accurately using professional phone etiquette.
• Assist patients with enrollment in the patient portal.

Requirements

• High school education or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Ability to work onsite Monday-Friday during regular office hours in South Portland, Maine.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
• Prior experience in a medical office environment and familiarity with electronic medical records (preferred).
• Experience with medical referrals (preferred).
