Business Development Account Executive (SaaS): Managing a mix of new business acquisition and account growth for the SME market in the Payroll/HCM sector with an accent on pipeline generation, lead qualification, and client relationship management. Location: Hybrid (Ireland) - 1-2 days from the office and the rest from home

What you will do

  • Undertake self-prospecting and inbound lead management to build a robust sales pipeline for the SME market.
  • Target, qualify, and engage key representatives in prospective accounts to create sales-ready opportunities.
  • Manage a portfolio of existing customers (under 250 employees), proactively recommending and upselling products based on client needs.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as the primary point of contact for inquiries and issues.
  • Collaborate with presales, Service Delivery, and Implementation teams to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery.
  • Track activity through dashboard metrics and maintain accurate records of client interactions in Salesforce.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in a Sales, BDR, or Account Executive role, preferably within a SaaS or services company.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and MS Office Suite.
  • Training in call structuring, conversation control, and pitching.
  • Strong ability in opportunity qualification, objection handling, and time management.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Must be based in Ireland to support the hybrid office model.
